The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) is pleased to issue the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 Procurement Forecast.  The procurement forecast is prepared annually in accordance with Public Law 100-656, Section 501 and the Transportation Acquisition Regulations (TAM) 1219.202-270 Procurement Forecast . The  forecast is one of many tools available to small businesses to assist in planning their federal government marketing efforts.

The FY10 forecast provides information on anticipated DOT procurements over the simplified acquisition threshold (See FAR 2.101) and can be searched by quarter, industry category, Operating Administration and key words. The forecast is for informational and marketing purposes only and does not constitute a specific offer or commitment by the DOT to fund in whole or in part any of the procurements referenced herein. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) anticipates a 3 or 4-year cooperative agreement to support a program to train people in outdoor environmental ethics related to motorized and mechanized recreation. The program will qualify volunteer trainers and public agency personnel to teach how to use off-highway vehicles in a environmentally responsible manner. The program will work with Federal and State land management agencies and with trail-related nonprofit organizations.
Comments FHWA has a cooperative agreement with Tread Lightly!, Inc. to support the Tread Trainer Program, in effect September 2006 through September 2010. See www.treadlightly.org. Anticipated start date for a new agreement: September 2010.
