The second Town Hall Meeting for the DOT OSDBU Entrepreneurial Training and Technical Assistance Program for Women and Girls was held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Spelman College. There were 56 persons in attendance, including program interns, and women small business owners. The Honorable David Scott, US Congressman, 13th District, provided welcome remarks and commentary during the opening session. The OSDBU was represented by Ms. Jackie Gomez, Project Director, Great Lakes Region SBTRC, Chicago, IL. Ms. Gomez gave comments regarding business opportunities in the field of transportation. The Regional Office for FAA, Civil Rights, was also in attendance and presented information on opportunities with the FAA.

A total of 37 individuals registered on line. 20 small businesses completed a questionnaire prepared by Spelman College that will be used to provide input into the program in order to add new ideas to the Women and Girls initiative.
