Spelman College and the OSDBU, hosted two town hall meetings in November that focused on issues affecting the women-owned small business community in the Atlanta metro area. These events provided a forum to assist transportation based small, women-owned businesses and disadvantaged businesses enterprises (S/WOBs/DBEs) in participating in DOT-funded procurement opportunities; identify barriers that prevent these businesses from participating in transportation-related contracting opportunities; and determine how best Spelman College and the OSDBU can assist them in becoming more actively involved in transportation-related programs.
Below is the agenda and pictures from the event that took place on November 14th.
